What better time to celebrate, than the King’s Coronation? Whether hosting a party with friends and family or joining a community event, we’ve gathered a range of delicious recipes, loved by King Charles III himself!

Kick off the celebrations by indulging in this tasty and nutritious pot of molten cheese, spinach, tomatoes and eggs. This hearty breakfast is made using fresh, local ingredients. And if you’re not already hooked, it includes not one, but two types of cheese!

 

Salmon Canapes

Growing up, King Charles III was a fan of fishing. He’d catch his own salmon which would be grilled or poached and served on silver in the dining room. We can’t help with the silverware, but our salmon canapé recipe will be the talk of the street during the Coronation weekend!

 

Wild Mushroom Risotto

Wild mushrooms, picked from the ground of Balmoral, would end up in dishes like creamy mushroom risotto. Following a high plant-based diet and having a love of Italian food, this meal quickly became a favourite of the King. Why not try out this recipe? Although we recommend you pop into your local Central Co-op store for mushrooms instead of foraging on royal grounds!
