It’s co-created with people with refugee backgrounds, and brings the tastes of Syria, Morocco, and Afghanistan to our spoons.  Right now, more than 80 million people worldwide have been forcibly displaced from their homes— more than at any point in history. People are fleeing the effects of climate change, poverty, violence, and war. We recognise that people who are refugees are often some of the most entrepreneurial, and that entrepreneurship can help people to rebuild their lives.  That’s why our Ben & Jerry's Flavour Gurus got together with eight entrepreneurs with refugee backgrounds, alongside allies from TERN (The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network) and the migrant entrepreneur community, and retail experts from Co-op to create this stand-out flavour. Together, they worked as a team to bring the tastes and cultures of their home countries to Ben & Jerry’s ice cream family. What’s even better: proceeds of the new flavour will fund refugee led startup businesses, helping the next generation to flourish.
