Sausage Pomodoro pasta


Ingredients

  • Co-op B. Choice Pork Sausages (454g)
  • Co-op Irresistible Pomodoro Sauce (300g)
  • Co-op Fresh Fusilli (300g)
  • Co-op Onions (2 onions)
  • Co-op Garlic (3 cloves)
  • Olive oil (for cooking)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Method

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the Co-op Fresh Fusilli and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. While the pasta cooks, peel and finely chop the Co-op Onions. Peel and mince the Co-op Garlic cloves.
  4. Remove the casing from the Co-op Pork Sausages, breaking the sausage meat into small bite-sized pieces. Heat a large pan over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Add the sausage pieces to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add the chopped onions and garlic
  6. Pour the Co-op Irr Pomodoro Sauce into the pan with the onions and garlic.
  7. Return the cooked sausage and pasta to the pan, stirring to coat it in the sauce.
