Sausage Pomodoro pasta
Ingredients
- Co-op B. Choice Pork Sausages (454g)
- Co-op Irresistible Pomodoro Sauce (300g)
- Co-op Fresh Fusilli (300g)
- Co-op Onions (2 onions)
- Co-op Garlic (3 cloves)
- Olive oil (for cooking)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Method
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the Co-op Fresh Fusilli and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- While the pasta cooks, peel and finely chop the Co-op Onions. Peel and mince the Co-op Garlic cloves.
- Remove the casing from the Co-op Pork Sausages, breaking the sausage meat into small bite-sized pieces. Heat a large pan over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Add the sausage pieces to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the chopped onions and garlic
- Pour the Co-op Irr Pomodoro Sauce into the pan with the onions and garlic.
- Return the cooked sausage and pasta to the pan, stirring to coat it in the sauce.
