Following the launch of its new community store in Bakewell earlier this year, Central Co-op is delighted to announce the addition of an Insomnia Coffee shop which opened inside its Bakewell Store today, with a generous free coffee and muffin offer for Central Co-op Members to enjoy.
Central Co-op has been serving members of the community already with its store, which received a refurbishment earlier this year, adding a Food to Go section, eco-friendly refrigeration, new lighting inside and out, and much more.
“We are thrilled to expand our coffee offering alongside Central Co-op,” commented Harry O’Kelly, CEO of Insomnia Coffee Company. “Bakewell is such an iconic place in Derbyshire and the UK, and we’re proud to support not only the tourists that visit this wonderful area, but also the local community and their amazing town. We don’t take our position at the heart of the community for granted, and we can’t wait to hear what customers have to say!”
“Bakewell is such a special place and we love being there,” added Jamie Thomson, Head of Commercial Development at Central Co-op. “The new features went down a treat earlier this year, and expanding our offering with Insomnia’s signature Fairtrade coffee aligns perfectly with our ethos. We’ve been listening closely to community feedback regarding Co-op and the coffee shop, and we invite customers to come in and enjoy a coffee with us.”
The coffee shop will feature a selection of, Fairtrade Coffee and Belgian Hot Chocolate milkshakes and sundaes, pastries, sandwiches, and more. The full range of Insomnia’s offering can be found on their website.
This month Insomnia launched its Christmas Menu with a range of treats and beverages, including Gingerbread Latte/Cappuccino; Millionaire’s Mocha; Gingerbread and Salted Caramel Latte Icecap; S’mores Hot Chocolate; Orange Hot Chocolate; and a selection of sweet and savoury festive food items.
From now until 30th November, Central Co-op members can redeem a free small coffee and a muffin as a welcome gift to the store. For more information on membership, head to the Central Co-op membership site.
