Central Co-op hosts charity car wash, raising over £200 for About With Friends

Central Co-op, in collaboration with Tucked Valets and East of England Co-op Funeral Services, raised over £200 for local charity, About With Friends through a car wash event held at Central Co-op’s store in Cromer.

The event saw approximately 20 cars washed by a dedicated team of volunteers. Central Co-op Food, Tucked Valets and East of England Co-op Funeral Services came together to support About With Friends, a charity committed to providing people with learning disabilities the opportunities and support they need to live fulfilling lives.

About With Friends offers a range of services including support, activities, guidance and care, made possible through the dedication of full-time and part-time staff, volunteers and supporters. The funds raised from the car wash will go directly towards supporting these essential services.

Abby Holman from About With Friends expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you to all those involved for your help and organisation of the car wash event – what a huge success! The members of About With Friends are all still talking about it today which is so lovely. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped on the day – everyone was so patient, supportive and encouraging towards our members, many of which I didn’t think would get involved in the activities of the day, but did – it was magic to watch."
