Major investment by Central England Co-op brings a brand new look to Kettering food store

A Central England Co-op shop in Kettering has been transformed with a significant investment giving a boost to the local community.

The food store in Hallwood Road has received a makeover to give it a lighter, fresher feel and includes some exciting new features and ranges for locals to enjoy.

The community food store has been undergoing the makeover in recent weeks with changes including:  

• A fantastic new food to go section with new features such as hot food and a Rollover hot dog machine, as well as relocated Costa Coffee and Tango Ice Blast machines
• New look and feel inside and refreshed signage outside
• New self-checkouts installed for shoppers looking to make a quick purchase

Store Manager Rebecca Wilkinson said: “It’s been really exciting for the team to see our store transformed and we have some fantastic new features, such as the hot food and the self-checkouts, while the new ranges that have been brought in are great.

“It has all given the team a real boost – it feels like a whole new store. We’ve also had some great feedback from our customers who have said it feels so much better when they come in and are shocked at how different it looks.

“I would like to thank our brilliant customers and members for their continued support and for their patience while we brought our new look store to life – I hope they agree with us that it’s been worth it.”

The Hallwood Road Food Store is open Monday to Sunday 7am-10pm. The store has a wide range of products from everyday necessities to something a little more special and also offers a free cash machine, customer car park, Lottery, Collect Plus/Paypoint, an instore bakery and a lifesaving defibrillator.
