The Christmas Toy Appeal is coming to your local Central Co-op shop

The season of goodwill is nearly upon us and so is Central Co-op’s much-loved Christmas Toy Appeal. From the 11th of November through to the 6th of December, 50 local Central Co-op shops will be opening their doors for donations, gathering brand new toys, games and gifts that will bring a smile to children’s faces on Christmas morning.

This year, Central Co-op is taking its festive spirit on the road with the Toy Appeal van! This merry little mobile will be popping up at selected stores across the UK, collecting donations and spreading festive cheer! The Toy Appeal van will be stopping at 50 stores, where locals are invited to stop by and sample Central Co-op’s festive goodies, get a head start on some Christmas spirit, and of course, to donate an unused toy or game for a child who would otherwise go without.

In addition to spreading joy locally, this year’s Toy Appeal will reach even more families by teaming up with local and national charities, delivering the joy of a festive gift to children far and wide.

Andy Seddon, Society Secretary at Central Co-op, said: “We believe that no child should go without a gift on Christmas. The Toy Appeal invites local shoppers to donate new, unused toys or games that will be distributed to children in need through local and national charities. Your donation could be the very thing that makes a child’s Christmas extra-special – and that’s something worth celebrating!”

Not sure what to donate? Central Co-op are offering a range of toys and games in store, perfect for stocking fillers or to donate as part of the Toy Appeal. From Star Wars Squish-A-Boos, Lilo and Stitch LED watches, cute fruit plushies and art sets, to large playsets and kids’ digital cameras - there’s something for every child.

Simply buy or bring any new, unused toy or game to one of the 50 participating Central Co-op shops between the 11th of November and 6th of December, and drop it off at the Toy Appeal collection point in store. It’s a small gift with a huge impact – helping bring Christmas magic to children who need it most.
